• Drill Site BRL-IP-00-67 Ratator Survev <br />Raptors <br />I he site is lcxated approximately !4 mile above the forest boundary on the Flubbard <br />Creek road in the oak vegetative community. It lies within about 1(10 feet of the creek, <br />but is well butlered with vegetation hct+veen the location and the stream Douglas tir. <br />Lngelnttnn spruce. a,tu,mvortd and willot, arc gn„+mg m the nl,arian arra ;+djaeent to <br />the drill lacauon <br />Nesang raptor surveys for this site were first conducted in 3000 At that time no ac•tice or <br />inactive raptor nests were fi,und withtn a 114 mile radius of the site Subsequently, the <br />site was constructed and too wells dolled [n 2004 Howie plans on resuming to thts site <br />and doing additional work nn the hvo wells. Prior to moving on-site and commencing <br />opcrations,l3owic reyucsted that a raptor survey lx conducted to make sure none were <br />nesting in the area. On May ] 0, 3(1(14 a survey of all swtahle nesting habitat within 14 <br />mile of the site was conducted. All trees along the drainage. and rlitls to either side of the <br />drainage were checked for evidence of current or previous raptor nesting activity.
