PERMIT #: M-1987-019
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: RCO
INSPECTION DATE: March 1, 2011
marked by steel fence posts. All activity is contained within the boundary.
Topsoil:
The operator strips topsoil and places it in stockpile, but it is not for reclamation. The approved plan in the
permit allows mixing the topsoil with crushed gravel to attain the necessary plasticity for use as a road-
building material. The lack of topsoil on the reclaimed areas will prevent optimal revegetation. If the operator
finds that topsoil becomes available from an offsite source, the permit plan may be revised to allow the
importation of topsoil for revegetation. This would require a technical revision that includes the information
listed in Rule 3.1.5(9). Please contact this office if there are questions.
The operator is reminded to include all activities in the annual reports, such as removal of stockpiled
materials, reclamation, or weed control, even if the activity is minimal.
The site is kept in a clean and orderly condition, and it is operated in compliance with the permit. There were
no problems noted at this time.
For questions regarding this report, please contact this inspector at the Division's Durango Field Office:
DRMS
691 CR 233, Room A-2
Durango, CO 81301
(Tel: 970-247-5193)
Inspection Contact Address:
Patrick Sullivan
Rio Grande County
P.O.
