Twentymile Coal Company <br />18 LT Utility Borehole — Drilling <br />October 27, 2010 <br />OVERVIEW <br />Twentymile Coal Company (TCC) will be installing a utility borehole at its 18 Left (18LT) shaft site. The utility borehole shall <br />include a 60' long, grouted, 16" diameter conductor casing. The utility borehole shall be drilled to a nominal 14 -3/4" inch diameter to <br />a depth of approximately 1390 feet below the surface. Two steel pipes are to be placed inside the nominal 14 -3/4" drilled hole from <br />the surface to the mine opening. One pipe will be a schedule 80, welded joint, 8 -5/8" diameter pipe. The other pipe will be a schedule <br />80, welded joint, 4 -1/2" diameter pipe. TCC shall provide the welded joint pipes. <br />Bidders are requested to prepare a proposal for the 18 LT Utility Borehole — Drilling. The proposal is to include: <br />• A detailed description of all work the Contractor is intending to perform, <br />• A schedule detailing Contractor's plan to complete the project within TCC's project timing, and <br />• An itemized bid including all major categories of the proposal. <br />LOCATION <br />The TCC mine site is located approximately 9 miles north of Oak Creek, Colorado, on Routt County Road #27. <br />The access road to the f 8 LT shaft site is located off Routt County Road #27, approximately 5.5 miles northwest of the intersection of <br />Routt County Road #27 and #33. From this point, a short dirt road will lead to the shaft site. Refer to the attached Exhibit A Location <br />Map for shaft site location. <br />PROJECT TIMING <br />he projected dates and timing for the project follow: <br />1. Submit Responsibilities, Specifications and Scope of Work to Contractors <br />2. Bids Due at TCC <br />3. Award contract , pending MPA & Contract process <br />4. Commence Mobilization, pending permit approvals <br />5. Commence Rig Setup and Drilling <br />6. Complete Drilling <br />COMPLETION SCHEDULE <br />10/27/2010 <br />11/04/2010 <br />Week of 11/08/10 <br />ASAP, 11/15/10 <br />ASAP, — 11/15/10 <br />ASAP, 12/03/10 <br />TCC reserves the right for inspection of all work according to the following specifications and scope of work provided herein this <br />document. All scope of work questions shall be directed to Michael Berdine at TCC at (970)- 870 -2782. <br />A schedule shall be submitted with the Contractor's proposal that accurately defines the Contractors required timing to secure <br />materials and complete the project.
