Public Notice Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete application for a technical revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-81-041. The proposed revision provides demonstration that sediment drainage control features at the South Portal and North Decline are no longer necessary. The goal of this revision is to gain approval from the Division to reclaim these drainage control features. The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No. 46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River and 1-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: T10S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 T11 S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Sections 1, 2, 11, 12,13 T11 S, R97W., 6th P.M.: Section 7 The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. Written comments regarding this application may be submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the Denver office of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. Written comments must be received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety within 10 days after the date of this publication in order to be considered.
