Total herbaceous
production in Reclamation Area 30 this growing season was 144.85 grams/m2. The predicted
final revegetation success criterion value for total herbaceous production was 156.78 9/m2-
As the sampled total herbaceous production values was greater than 90 percent of the final
success criterion, Reclamation Area 30 met the final revegetation success criterion for total
herbaceous production.
Species Composition (2010)
Success Reclamation Area 30
Standard
Total Perennial Species* (>3% rel. cover) 4 3
Warm Season Grasses* 3 2
Cool Season Grasses* 1 1
Relative % Cover (3%<g>40%) All Species All Species
* Numbers reflect only those species meeting the relative importance percentage limitation
Reclamation Area 30 did not satisfy the final species composition revegetation success criteria
this season. Reclamation Area 30 lacked one warm season grass to meet the required
compliment of three.
4.0 DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS
Reclamation Area 30 at the mine, revegetated in 2006 was quantitatively sampled in 2010 to
evaluate revegetation establishment for monitoring purposes, and identify any areas that
require implementation of additional measures to ensure long-term revegetation success.
Coors Energy Company Keenesburg Mine Page 11
2010 RZevegetation Monitoring Report
