355 of the Seneca II PAP, and is summarized on pages 7-349/350. The new
program is provided in the PR-02 package (Volume 14) on page 2.04.7-2.
NPDES Discharge Point 008 is monitored monthly for field parameters
(flow, temperature, pH, and electrical conductivity) and NPDES lab
parameters. The NPDES permit may be found in Appendix 7-2 of the PAP.
The two stream sites on Fish Creek (Sites SSF11 and 13), and the one on
the Fish Creek tributary, Bond Creek (Site SSB12), is monitored monthly
from May through July for field parameters and full-suite lab samples.
When no flow is observed at both the Cow Camp Creek Site SSC10 (a PSCM
site) and Bond Creek Site SSB12, the two Fish Creek sites (Sites 11 and
13) are not monitored. At the Seneca II Mine, Spoil Spring SSSPG9 is
monitored for field parameters and a full-suite lab sample in the spring
season. Full-suite lab samples collected at all these sites were
analyzed using the surface water long list, Table 9.
Surface water quality data are presented in Appendix D. Data for each
site begins with a flow hydrograph of all historic data (plus an annual
hydrograph for NPDES sites), followed by a listing of individual water
quality and quantity data for the current water year, remarks, a TDS
regression plot using the LOWESS method (see Ground Water Quality
section), and then a listing of historic percent milliequivalent values
for major ions and TDS values. Lab samples are handled identically to
procedures discussed previously in the Ground Water Quality section.
Fish Creek Drainage. Four Seneca II monitoring sites exist within the
Fish Creek drainage: NPDES8 and Site SSB12 are located on Bond Creek.
Sites SSF11 and 13 exist on Fish Creek.
- NPDES Discharge Point 008 (NPDES8). The annual average flow values for
the water year since this pond began to flow are:
2010 = 0.112 cfs (monthly measurements)
2009 = 0.098 cfs it
2008 = 0.117 cfs if
2007 = 0.143 cfs 19 1*
2006 = 0.103 cfs "
7
