The acres disturbed includes the RPE East development, and MDW and exploration
drilling completed, including 0.01 acres total for seeding (only) of two helicopter-accessed drill
sites (10LM01 and 02). No backfilling and grading was needed on these sites, but this
acreage was seeded. Two small pads (20'x 60') and 80' of re-opened road were constructed
for two exploration sites on MCC's property (101-C-01 and 02). A copy of the tag from the
mine site seed mix used on the exploration sites is attached. Three exploration sites (E5-40,
E6-62, and E7-70) were developed along existing old roads and were converted to be future
MDWs. Nine MDW pads totaling about 6.5 acres and nearly 4 acres of roads were
constructed for longwall panel E2, E3 and E4 MDW locations.
Development was also begun on approximately 20.84 acres of the RPE East coal refuse
disposal area, roads and suitable soil storage area in 2010. The attached maps show the
locations of the exploration sites and MDWs, as well as the general area of the RPE East
development.
Please contact me at (970) 929-2238 or by e-mail should you have questions regarding this
submittal.
Sincerely,
`?
Kathleen G.
