Annual Report - 2010 <br />Climax Mine Reclamation Activities <br />Permit No. M-77-493 <br />• Continued construction activities in the new mill building and associated processing <br />equipment. <br />• Re-build of the primary crusher. <br />• Re-model and upgrade of Open Pit Shop facilities <br />• Construction of Robinson Lake Pumphouse <br />• Continuation of sediment removal from Robinson Lake <br />• Construction of Reclaim Pipeline used for pumping water from Robinson Lake to the <br />Mill. <br />• Construction of Tailing Delivery Line to #3 Dam. <br />• Installation of #3 Dam underdrains <br />• Closure of Crusher Area Vent Raise shaft (currently permitted for disposal of asbestos <br />containing material). <br />• Begin preparing the Open Pit for mining activities. As part of this project, construction <br />and development activities for a haul road along Cerresco Ridge will be performed. <br />As part of the anticipated construction activities associated with the Reclaim Pipeline and <br />Cerresco Ridge haul road, Climax estimates that there will be approximately 29 acres of new <br />disturbance and approximately 19 acres of re-disturbance of lands that have been reclaimed. <br />New and re-disturbance areas associated with the Reclaim Pipeline will pertain to certain <br />segments of the pipeline and to staging and material storage areas that will be established along <br />the pipeline alignment. The new disturbance area associated with the Cerresco Ridge haul road <br />will pertain to placement of fill material on which a portion of the haul road will be located. <br />These newly and re-disturbed areas are indicated in Maps 1 through 3 in Attachment 5 <br />Page 3 of 3
