February 16, 2010 C-1981-035/King Coal Mine TK <br /> SUBSIDENCE—Rule 4.20: <br /> There was no evidence of subsidence over the portal areas at either mine. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES-Rule 4.04: <br /> King I—There was no activity at King I other than mine staff at the bathhouse. <br /> King II—Earthwork for the surface facilities area of this new mine began in March 2007. All of the surface <br /> earthwork(roads,ditches, etc.)has been completed. Four portals have been developed at King II. Coal was <br /> being trucked off-site during the inspection. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> King I—The mine i.d. sign was properly displayed at the mine entrance from County Road 120. The surface <br /> disturbance area was adequately marked by"Permit Area"signs. <br /> King II—A mine i.d. sign was on display at the mine's entrance on County Road 120. The surface disturbed area <br /> is well-marked with"Permit Area"markers.
