Our initial review indicates that it is incomplete.
The application does not minimally address each Exhibit, and the following additional information is
needed before DRMS is able to designate the application as complete and filed.
(1) Rule 6.4.1 Exhibit A - Legal Description: Under Rule 6.4.1(2), the Applicant must provide a USGS
topographic map in coordinates of either latitude/longitude or UTM that shows the location of the entrance
to the mine site.
(2) Rule 6.4.7 Exhibit G - Water Information: Under Rule 6.4.7(2)(a), please locate on the map in Exhibit
C all items required. Under Rule 6.4.7(2)(b), please identify all known aquifers. Under Rule 6.4.7(3),
please provide an estimate of the project water requirements including flow rates and annual volumes for
the development, mining, and reclamation phases of the project.
(3) Rule 6.4.14 Exhibit N - Source of Le ag 1 Right to Enter: Under Rule 6.4.14, the application must
provide a source of legal right to enter, examples of which are described in Rule 6.3.7.
(4) Rule 6.4.20 Exhibit T - Permanent Man-Made Structures: The exhibit appears complete, but is
mislabeled as Exhibit S, suggesting that you may have been referencing an older version of the Hard Rock
Rules. Please resubmit page 49 correctly titled as Exhibit T. The most recent version of the Rules may be
downloaded from: hqp:Hmining.state.co.us/Ruies%20and%2ORegs.htm
Be advised that if you have not addressed these items within 60 days of the date of this letter, DRMS may
deny the application and terminate the application file as allowed under Hard Rock Rule 1.4.1(8). If you
have any questions, feel free to call me at 303-866-3567 x8108.
S' erely,
David Bird
Division or Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
Office of Office of
Minpd I anri Rprlamatinn Denver • Grand [unction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
