Because the entire site was covered in snow, there was no potential for fugitive dust problems.

There were no apparent issues with the backfilled areas of the site, although the entire site was covered in
snow.

The sediment pond at the west mine silo area was covered in snow. However,the pond embankment
appeared to be stable and the combination open channel spillway was clear of any debris.
Both road culverts at the east mine were covered in snow.The riprapped channels below the road culverts also
were covered in snow but no problems were apparent.The riverside berm was in place.

There had been a natural slide on the north side of the old county road that provides access to the
reclaimed east mine and the reclaimed west mine. The slide occurred at the entrance point to the west mine silo
