<br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION
<br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Min-
<br />ing and Safety proposes to Approve Permit
<br />Renewal Application No. 6 (RN-6), submit-
<br />ted by Kerr Coal Company for a coal mining
<br />permit at the Mart Mine (Permit No. C-
<br />1980-006). The proposed renewal will
<br />allow for continued reclamation at the site.
<br />The Mar Mine is located in Jackson Coun-
<br />ty, approximately 12 miles east of Walden,
<br />Colorado, Colorado. Coal interest at this
<br />Surface mine is Federal, state and private,
<br />and the surface to be affected is Federal,
<br />state and private land. The permit area
<br />encompasses approximately 1,645.00
<br />acres.
<br />This proposed decision is based on a find-
<br />ing that the proposed operation will comply
<br />with all requirements of the Colorado Sur-
<br />face Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section
<br />3433101 at seq,,,C.R.S., and the regula-
<br />tions promulgated thereunder.
<br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision and Find-
<br />ings of Compliance°? including any stipula-
<br />tions, is on file for public inspection at the
<br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safety, Room 215 Centennial Building,
<br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Col-
<br />orado 80203, Northwest Colorado Consul-
<br />"tents, Inc., 2580 Copper Ridge Drive,
<br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80487, and at the
<br />Jackson County Clerk's Office, 404 4th,
<br />Walden, CO 80480. Persons with an inter-
<br />est that may be adversely affected by the
<br />proposed decision may request a formal
<br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation
<br />Board on the proposed decision. Such
<br />request must be made within thirty (30)
<br />days of the initial publication of this notice,
<br />must be in writing, and must state with,rea-
<br />sonable specificity Ahe reasons for the
<br />request and the objections to the proposed
<br />decision.

<br />Thursdays, January 27 and February 3,
<br />2011.
