4.14-4 Colowyo states that they will provide "...a general description of the <br />rills and gullies..." While Colowyo can provide a general description of the <br />rills and gully area, a map is essential in locating and tracking any rills and <br />gullies. Please add a commitment to page 4.14-4 to include a map of 1 to 6,000 <br />scale (1-inch equals 500-feet scale) that shows the locations of the rills and <br />gullies with the annual rill and gully report. <br />Response: Colowyo will provide a map that shows locations of any rills and <br />gullies in the annual Rills and Gullies Report. A commitment to <br />provide this map has been inserted on page 4.14-4. <br />3. In question 22(d) of the Division's 10 May 2010 Midterm Review of Colowyo <br />Mine the Division requested that Colowyo provide a description of the topsoil <br />salvage and replacement activities that would occur in conjunction with the <br />rill and gully repair. This description may contain several parts, depending on <br />the size of the rills and gullies encountered. The salvaging and replacing of <br />topsoil in these areas is critical to protecting the topsoil resource. Please <br />include a description of the topsoil salvaging and replacement activities that <br />will occur in conjunction with the annual rill and gully repair. <br />Response: Colowyo has added a text section on page 4.14-4 that addresses <br />topsoil salvage and replacement of the resource during repair of any <br />rill or gully. Colowyo is committed to preserving and protecting <br />any topsoil resources on the mine site and will take every effort <br />needed to ensure topsoil resources are properly utilized. <br />A copy of the updated pages and a list of changes has been included to ease incorporation <br />into the permit.
