C-1981-008 8-Feb-2011
MR-79 PAR Page 2 of 2
3. The IP section does not describe the potential season(s) that repair of the surface depressions
may be undertaken; nor are soil/ground conditions listed that might be prohibitive to the
proposed activities. Please expand the subsection 13.4 Reclaimed IP narrative to address
seasons of repair and conditions during which repairs will not be attempted.
4. With respect to repair of areas of differential settlement occurring on reclaimed Irrigated
Cropland (Prime Farmlands), the Division has determined that the issue is too complex to be
accomplished with a Minor Revision. Please remove the Irrigated Cropland section from
Subsection 13.4, and submit a Technical Revision application at a later date.
This concludes the Division's adequacy review of the MR-79 application. Please contact me
with any questions that may arise.
Sincerely,
Marcia L. Talvitie, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Ross Gubka, Western Fuels
Sandy Brown, DRMS
