Compliance With Mine Plan <br />NA - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />R -Other <br />NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />Y - Processing Waste <br />N -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Roadside Portals Mine conducted by Harry Ranney of the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS). Aerial photographs were taken on January 20, 2011 at approximately <br />2:44 p,m. Weather conditions appeared to be clear and sunny at the time of the flight. Mike Boulay of the DRMS <br />reviewed the aerial photographs. <br />Eight photographs were taken during the flyover. The portions of the mine site that are visible in the photographs <br />include the North Decline, South Portals area, and the CRDAwaste disposal sites (CRDA -1 and CRDA -2). The <br />site was mostly snow covered and there was no activity discernible in the photographs. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The CRDA waste disposal sites are shown in Photograph No. l attached to this inspection report. The Roadside <br />South Refuse Disposal Area is shown in attached Photograph No. 2. All three refuse disposal areas are stable and <br />appear to be well maintained. <br />The only sediment ponds clearly visible in the photos are Ponds 7, 8 and 9. These sedimentation ponds were <br />mostly snow covered and did not appear to be retaining any water. The ponds are functional with no problems <br />identified. <br />The mine site roads visible in the photographs adjacent to Coal Creek were only partially snow covered and <br />appeared well maintained and in good condition. The road up to the shop and warehouse at the South Portal was in <br />good condition. There was no activity at the South Portal as the fruit stand and warehouse remain closed for <br />business at this time. The facilities areas and perimeter locations visible in the photographs were all very well <br />maintained and appeared to be in good condition.
