As required by Rule 6.3.2(b), please identify any permanent man-made structures within two <br />hundred (200) feet of the affected area and the owner of each structure. The ranch road to the <br />north of the proposed permit boundary is considered a permanent man-made structure. <br />6.3.3 Exhibit C - Mining Plan <br />3. As required by Rule 6.3.3(g), please specify the dimensions of any existing or proposed <br />roads that will be used for the mining operation, as well as the specifications to be used in the <br />construction of new roads. <br />4. Please describe the major components of the mining operation as required by Rule 6.3.3(d). <br />Specifically, describe the pit and specify the grade the pit walls will be mined at. <br />6.3.4 Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan <br />5. The Mining Plan states the maximum size area that will be mined at one time would be from <br />5 to 6 acres. Please clarify if the Operator will reclaim the site concurrently with mining or if <br />all reclamation will be performed at the completion of mining. <br />6. Please clarify if the NRCS seeding recommendations will only be applied to the 0.77 acre <br />parcel of land that has been identified as rangeland. Also, please clarify that the 9.14 acre <br />parcel of land will only be planted with winter wheat. <br />7. The Reclamation Plan states all slopes will be graded to 3H:1 V or flatter and the <br />Reclamation Plan Map depicts a reclaimed slope of 4H:1 V or flatter. Please clarify if the <br />slopes will be graded to 3H:1 V or flatter or 4H:1 V or flatter. <br />The Reclamation Plan Map shows the final topography of the site will have a westerly <br />aspect. Will the toe of the slope (the west edge of the site) tie in with the existing topography <br />to create a continuous slope or will a depression be created in the location of the proposed <br />pit? <br />6.3.5 Exhibit E - Map <br />9. As required by Rule 6.3.5(2)(b), please label the names of owner(s) of record of the surface <br />of the affected area, identify the owner of the substance to be mined, and the type of structure <br />and owners of record of any permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected <br />area on the Mining Plan Map. <br />--------------------- <br />10. As required by Rule 6.3.5(3)(d), the Reclamation Plan Map must state the average thickness <br />of replaced overburden by reclamation area or phase. Please revise the Reclamation Plan <br />Map accordingly. <br />
