Herein I provide direction for how to access the
public record through the Division's web site. The complete public record, except for confidential items, may be
accessed for any mine site in Colorado through the Division's web site. At this time I believe there are no confidential
items regarding Wildcat Mining Corporation.
1. Access the Division's web site at www.mining.state.co.us.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the home page. Select (left click) "Permit Documents". The link is located in the lower
right screen of the home page.
3. The new page should state "Mining Data" in the upper left screen. Select "Click here to use the DRMS document
Management System". The link is also provided, http://drmsweblink.state.co.us, if you so choose to save the
link and later avoid steps 1, 2 and 3.
4. The new page states "Laserfiche Weblink" in the upper left screen and has an extensive menu on screen left.
From this page you can access documents for any/all permitted operations for Colorado, if you know the permit
number. Got to have the permit number. The permit number for the May Day Mine is M-1981-185 but this
program does not recognize the dashes so input the permit number without the dashes, "m1981185", in the
appropriate window on screen left. Immediately under the window for the permit number is a window with
drop down menu. The window is titled, "IBM Index Class Name". Open the drop down menu and select
"Revision". You want to access Revision documents because you are interested in the application to convert
(revise) the existing :110(2) operation to a 112d operation at the May Day Mine. If you had desired to access
inspection reports or bond documents you would select the appropriate menu pick from the drop down menu.
After selecting "Revision", proceed to bottom left screen and select "Search". Now you wait while the computer
gathers all revision documents for permit number m1981185.
5. The new page is intimidating, due to the number of documents, but have courage. You see there are 88
revision documents, listed on at least five pages, and they are arranged alphabetically by "Name". But we want
to access documents since September 28, 2010, when the original conversion application was received.
Therefore, would be helpful to re-arrange the 88 documents in chronological order by date of document. Select
"Doc Date" to order the 88 documents chronologically. If, after the re-order is complete, you select "Doc Date"
again, the 88 documents will be ordered in reverse chorological order. Alternately, you can order the 88
documents by "Type & Sequence". The type is conversion (CN) and the sequence is number 01. Therefore, the
documents of interest are for CN-01.
6. To open a document you must select the document by name, located in the far left of window.
Please feel free to call if you have problems and I can walk you through the process. Hard copy of the application for
CN-01 at the May Day Idaho Mine Complex, M-1981-185, are available for public review at the La Plata County Clerk and
Recorder's Office. I verified their availability on January 26, 2011. Allegations to the contrary, indicating that the 112d
application (CN-01) documents are not available at the Clerk's office, are false.
Thank you for your inquiry and please feel free to distribute this email as appropriate.
Wally Erickson
