Application to Convert a 110(2) Operation to a 112d Operation (CN-01),
Wildcat Mining Corporation, May Day Idaho Mine Complex, File No. M-1981-185.
Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
On January 26, 2011, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received three
correspondences from citizens, all alleging the absence of the above referenced application at the La
Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office. Pursuant to the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining Operations,
Wildcat Mining Corporation is required to place copy of the application with the County Clerk and
Recorder's Office for public review.
On January 26, 2011, 1 visited the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office and requested to
review the public documents submitted from Wildcat Mining Corporation regarding the 112d
application for the May Day Idaho Mine Complex. I was immediately accompanied by County
personnel to the location where such documents are maintained. The appropriate documents for the
referenced 112d application appeared to be secure, well organized and available for public review.
The application consists of two three ring binders, date stamped by the Clerk on September 28, 2010,
and various additions to the application received by the Clerk up to January 4, 2011.
The allegations that the referenced application is not available at the La Plata County Clerk and
Recorder's Office are false. Copy of the application may also be reviewed at the Division's web site at
www.mining.state.co.us.
