The application was submitted by National King Coal, LLC on February 16, 2007 <br />for the King Coal Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(2)(c) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the The Durango Herald. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Hesperus, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br />All or Portions of Sections 28, 29, 31, 32, T35N, R1 I W, NMPM; Portions of Sections 5 and 6, T34N, RI I W; <br />Portions of Sections 36, T3 5N, R12W. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder.
