A San Miguel Power Association power line runs through the pit area. The
Clark residence and shop are located in the center of the permit area. An
abandoned railroad grade runs through the center of the permit area near the
power line. The Clark family has made a commitment to the San Juan County
Commissioners to protect this railroad grade. Mining and hauling activities will
not disturb the grade.
