Rd. 2 <br />Silverton, CO. 81433 <br />Dear Mr. and Mrs. Clark, <br />At its regular meeting of June 29, 2005, the San Juan County Board of Commissioners <br />reviewed your application for a Land Use Permit for a gravel pit on your property, a portion of <br />the French Placer. They also reviewed the recommendations of the Historic Impact Review <br />Board which were further reinforced by the San Juan Regional Planning Commission. <br />The San Juan County Board of Commissioners voted to approve your application with the <br />conditions of approval recommended by staff: <br />(1.) That protective measures are implemented to protect the historic railroad grade from <br />proximity to the gravel pit, pit operations, and adverse impact of truck traffic. <br />(2.) That the topsoil and uprooted shrubs be used to revegetate the area around the newly <br />created lake and that additional seeding of natural vegetation also be used. <br />(3.)
