' 2010 Annual Reclamation Report
Edna Mine
Permit C-80-001
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this report is to provide updated information pertaining to the reclamation of the
Edna Mine and discuss bond release, affected area, topsoiled and seeded acreage summaries.
The previous report, dated February 2010, reported reclamation activities through the end of
2009. This report discusses reclamation data and maintenance activity through the end of 2010.
The report is divided into several sections including: Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining
& Safety (CDRMS) Annual Reclamation Report for the Year 2010; Reclaimed Land Acreage
Summary; and 2010 Maintenance. The tables provided summarize total acreage for all years of
mining and reclamation activity at the mine covered by the Regulations of the Colorado Mined
Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining (effective August 30, 1980). The exhibits provided
illustrate the location of bond release areas, topsoiled and seeded areas, and all maintenance
activity performed in 2010.
Bond release SL-10 for phases I, 11 and III was applied for November 24, 2008, deemed
complete by CDRMS on January 5, 2009 and was approved February 1, 2010. SL-10 (Old
Tipple Road, Facilities and Ponds) includes 13.3 acres of land that had previously not reached
any phase of bond release.
Bond release SL--11 for phases II and III was applied for May 13, 2009 and deemed complete by
CDRMS on June 29, 2009. SL-11 (West Ridge Area, Moffat Area and Support Facilities Area)
includes 1197.6 acres of land that had previously reached phase I release (SL-2, SL-4 and SL-7).
CDRMS has postponed a proposed decision until the success of weed control measures and the
evaluation of the presence of weeds can be reevaluated in the spring/summer of 2011. Due to the
postponed proposed decision date, and therefore release date, occurring in 2011 the remainder of
this report does not reference the SL-11 bond release.
?^^YY YYI.ENGINEERING Page 1 of 8
