The photos were reviewed in the office by Rob Zuber of the Division on
January 27, 2011. A subset of the ten photos that were taken is provided here. All photos were taken looking
southeast unless otherwise noted.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05:
The photographs showed no signs of significant erosion in any of the drainages. Standing water can be observed
in the Johnson Gulch #6 Pond. The pond embankment appeared stable, and no other problems were noted. No
other ponds can be closely observed in the aerial photographs.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE:
Trapper Mine continues the earth-moving activities in the F-pit, the Z-pit, the K Ridge, and the Horse Gulch fill
area. No problems were noted in the aerial photographs and the mine appears to be operating as permitted. No
observations of the aerial photographs warrant an on-the-ground inspection.
ROADS - Rule 4.03:
The life-of-mine haul road, the road to D/E Pit, the two roads to the Ash Pit, the F-Pit haul road, and the Z-Pit haul
road all appeared to be stable with no observed problems. All access roads and light-use roads identified in the
aerial photographs appeared to be well maintained and stable with no signs of damage and no problems noted.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
No erosion issues or other non-compliance issues were identified from the photographs. The area with gullies
above the Ash Pit will be regraded during the final reclamation (per PMT map).
SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12:
No recent slide events were observed in the aerial photographs.
