6.4.7 EXHIBIT G - Water Information
(1) The proposed mining operation at Donley Rock Quarry is not expected to directly
affect either surface or groundwater systems in the immediate area.
(2) The nearest watercourse, Linscott Canyon Creek, an ephemeral stream, is
shown on Exhibit C, but no impacts to that watercourse are expected as a result
of the proposed mining activities.
(3) No water is required for the mining operations other than fugitive dust control.
That water will be trucked to the site by the Operator and used on an as-needed
basis to water roads and stockpiles to minimize fugitive dust from the site. No
water will be required for revegetation and reclamation since seeding will be
timed to use natural rainfall/snowfall seasons to irrigate the proposed NRCS
native seed mixture. It is estimated that 1000 gallons per active working day will
be required to provide fugitive dust control when mining operations are active.
(4) Not Applicable
(5) A Storm Water Management Plan has been developed for the site and is on file
at the Montrose County Engineering Department.
Donley Rock Quarry
Exhibit G
