Pineda <br />Lamar, Colorado 81052 Director <br />Re: Friederichs Pit, File No. M-2010-080, 110 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit Application <br />Package, Incomplete Application Letter No. 3. <br />Dear Mr. Torres: <br />On January 19`I', 2011, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received several updated exhibits for the <br />Friederichs Pit, File No. M-2010-080 permit application packaged. Review of the information received determined <br />that the following items must also be submitted before the Division can consider your application as being "filed" and <br />technical review can begin: <br />EXHIBIT A - Location Map (Rule 6.3.1(2)): <br />1.) Per our conversation yesterday, the exact permit boundary is hard to define based on the hand drawn maps <br />submitted in your response exhibits. The permit boundary must be specifically and clearly defined with an exact point <br />of beginning. Please resubmit Exhibit A; Location Map, with a permit boundary of 9.9 acres clearly defined. <br />The location map must be a standard 1:24000 scale U.S. Geological Survey Map. Please re-submit the required map <br />and ensure it depicts the following information: <br />A. Location of the affected land on the ground and existing and proposed roads or access routes to be used in <br />connection with the mining operation. <br />B. Names of all immediately adjacent surface owners of record shall also be shown. <br />C. The location of the proposed operation shall be shown and labeled with the mine site name. <br />EXHIBIT E - Mining and Reclamation Plan Map (Rule 6.3.5) <br />2.) Two maps must be submitted for this exhibit, a Mining Plan Map and Reclamation Plan Map. Both maps must <br />have the following information: <br />A. The name of the Applicant <br />B. Must be signed by the registered land surveyor, professional engineer, or other qualified person who prepared <br />the map <br />C. Give the date the map(s) were prepared <br />D. Clearly depict the 9.9 acre permit boundary <br />E. Map scale; both the mining and reclamation plan maps must be drawn at a scale not to be larger than 1 inch = <br />50 feet nor smaller than 1 inch = 660 feet <br />F. 'Appropriate legend to identify the features of the mining/reclamation operation (discussed below) <br />G.
