This former surface mine is now reclaimed and activities are generally focused on <br />monitoring and maintenance. Ground conditions on this day were excellent and the weather was clear, <br />cool, and breezy in advance of an approaching winter storm. <br />Excess Spoil <br />Three excess spoil <br />fills were built and <br />reclaimed at this <br />surface mine. Fill <br />8 is the fill that <br />faces north <br />towards Highway <br />12 and the town of <br />Primero.
