Jennifer Sekulski-Barton
r.w• -.e Colowyo Coal Company
G 5731 State Highway 13
Meeker, CO 81641
T: 970-824-1529
Furthermore, the original mandate for performance of surveys across a two-year
period was designed to provide assurance that a single sampling effort did not
contain sufficient sampling error to indicate a false-positive. The history of this
mandate can be traced to Dr. George Van Dyne's recommendations to the
Wyoming DEQ for development of their regulations that in turn were utilized to form
much of the language found in SMCRA (1977). However, when total population
enumeration occurs as opposed to sampling, the need for such verification becomes
moot.
Please contact me at 970-824-1529 if you have any questions concerning this
application for bond release.
Sincerely,
e nifer kul i-Barton
avironmental Engineer
Encl. 2 copies of Colowyo Coal L.P.
