PERMIT #: M-1988-115
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: January 12, 2011
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine monitoring inspection for the Ostrowski Pit, a Kit Carson County 110c sand and gravel
permit, conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS. DRMS traveled with Kit Carson Road and Bridge representative
Walt Isenbart to the site, and observed the site with him at approximately 1030.
This is a stream channel removal site that has been intermittently active based on the county need for material in
the area. The mining site identification sign and permit markers were present at the time of the inspection. Kit
Carson County has 9.4 acres permitted at this location. Due to the intermittent status of the site, and the
streambed nature of the site, the site shows very little mining impact. There are several small material
stockpiles located on the western bank, and little else. There were several used tires and some wire fence that
should be removed from the permit area and properly disposed of, otherwise the site is in good condition.
Inspection Contact Address
Walt Isenbart
Kit Carson County
P.O.
