Total acreage of the <br />permit area (26.1 acres) and affected land area (19.9 acres) is provided as narrative <br />on the map, below the diagram. The map scale and survey signature are provided. <br />Exhibit D: <br />Water diversions are discussed in the last paragraph on page 24. "If necessary, <br />stormwater perimeter diversions will be constructed of overburden and reject <br />material ... Since the mine is a pit, surface water will naturally collect in the mine <br />area. The pit floor grade has established a pooling area for surface water near <br />the entrance road." All stormwater structures will be temporary. <br />The entire Pit Area 1 will be mined as one phase. "Gravel Pit Area 1, <br />approximately 21.9 acres, will continue to be the active mining area. Gravel Pit <br />Area 2, composed of 4.2 acres, will be mined after Pit Area 1 is mined out. The <br />expected life of the mine is approximately 20 years, depending on economic <br />demand, with 18 years in Pit Area 1 and two years in Pit Area 2." <br />Exhibit E: The reclamation plan contains the requested detail concerning grading, seeding, <br />fertilizing and top soiling.
