Statement of plan for augmentation, covering all applicable matters under §_37-92-103(9),302(l)(2) <br />and 305(8), C.1LS.: Applicant has two gravel pits, the south pit and the north pit. The total surface <br />acreage of both pits and associated channels at full build-out will be 8.32 acres. Applicant has <br />calculated the annual depletion by evaporation to be 65.7 acre-feet. Applicant proposes to replace this <br />water by water supplied pursuant to 26.5 shares of Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association <br />(UVWUA) owned by Applicant. Each share equals 0.02 et s. at the headgatc, or 5 acre-fectlyr (AF/yr). <br />Augmentation water will be released to the Uncompahgre River at a location 940 feet from the north <br />section line and 2278 feet from the west section line of Section 22, T50N, RI 0W NMPM Year one <br />depletions not covered by MFWUA water were calculated to be 4.1 AF. Final year of mining depletions <br />not covered by UVWUA water were calculated to be 5.5 AF. The unmet replacement obligations will <br />be met through releases from the Aspinall Unit of the Gunnison River, Obligations for year one of <br />mining are 4.1 AF and for the final year of mining arc 5.5 AF. These numbers include transit loss of <br />8.9% to deliver writer to the augmentation supply point. Before the final year of mining, Applicant will <br />purchase an additionaJ 0.5 acrd-feet of water from Blue Mesa to satisfy the 5.5 AF not covered by the <br />UVWUA shares. Details are contained in the engineering report prepared by Wright Water Engineers, <br />Inc., riled herewith. , <br />9.
