PERMIT #: M-1977-439 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS <br />INSPECTION DATE: August 27, 2010 <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This was a partial release inspection for the Home Office Pit, a 112c sand and gravel permit operated by <br />Lafarge aggregates and concrete, conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS. Lafarge had requested the final release of <br />parcels A,B,C,D, Z, I and T of the existing permit area. DRMS visited the site with Anne Best-Johnson and <br />several other representatives of Lafarge on August 27, 2010 to determine if reclamation had been completed for <br />these parcels. This report will summarize the final release determination for these parcels based on the field <br />inspection and subsequent compliance submittals by Lafarge. <br />Parcel A - release approved after documentation submitted by Lafarge of Russian olive removal and weed <br />spraying, as well as SEO approval of open water body in this area. <br />Parcels B and C - release denied until SEO approves final augmentation of unlined open water bodies, Lafarge <br />Russian olive removal for these parcels noted. <br />Parcels D and Z - release approved after SEO approval of open water bodies. Both areas fully reclaimed as <br />recreational use. <br />Parcel I - release denied until SEO approves final augmentation of open water body - otherwise area is fully <br />reclaimed as open space park and ready for release. <br />Parcel T - release approved. This area was never impacted by mining activity. <br />The final permitted area has been reduced to 640.9 acres through this reduction.
