Pineda <br />Lamar, Colorado 81052 Director <br />Re: Friederichs Pit, File No. M-2010-080,110 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit Application <br />Package, Incomplete Application Letter No. 2. <br />Dear Mr. Torres: <br />On January 4, 2011, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received several updated exhibits for the <br />Friederichs Pit, File No. M-2010-080 permit application packaged. Review of the information received determined <br />that the following items must also be submitted before the Division can consider your application as being "filed" and <br />technical review can begin: <br />EXHIBIT A - Location Mau (Rule 6.3.1(2)): <br />1.) The location map must be a standard 1:24000 scale U.S. Geological Survey Map. Please re-submit the required <br />map and ensure it depicts the following information: <br />A. Location of the affected land on the ground and existing and proposed roads or access routes to be used in <br />connection with the mining operation. <br />B. Names of all immediately adjacent surface owners of record shall also be shown. <br />C. The location of the proposed operation shall be shown and labeled with the mine site name. <br />EXHIBIT B - Site Description (Rule 6.3.2(b)): <br />2.) You must address Item (b) to the extent necessary to demonstrate compliance with the applicable performance <br />standard requirements of Rule 3. At a minimum, you must identify any permanent man-made structures within two <br />hundred (200) feet of the affected area and the owner of each structure. Permanent man-made structures include <br />houses, barns, fences, above or below ground utilities, irrigation ditches, maintained or public roads, bridges, wells, <br />pipelines, water storage impoundments, railroad tracks, cemeteries, and communication antennas, etc. Each structure <br />should be located on Exhibit E - Map; <br />EXHIBIT C - Minim Plan (Rule 6.3.3): <br />3.) The purpose of the mining plan is to describe; in narrative form, how mining will affect the permit area for the <br />duration of the operation. This plan must be correlated to Exhibit E - Map. The description of the mining plan must <br />be adequate to satisfy the requirements of Section 3.1 and demonstrate compliance with Rule 3.
