h <br />Vanvalkenburg Gravel Pit <br />Exhibit E <br />Reclamation Flan <br />Reclamation ofthe permit area will rerun the site to a past mining land we of wildlife habitat and <br />rangeland. <br />At a minimum, the top 12" of topsoil will be stripped and stockpiled around the perimeter of the pit area. <br />Gtass, shrubs, and small trees will be incorporated into the topsoil piles. Stdyiaent topsoil will be <br />maudmed to caaer all past and firWre mining areas m. the permit area to a depth of V. Topsoil piles will <br />be revegetatod with a mixture of native grasses to maintain topsoil viability and to prevent topsoil erosion. <br />Reclamation work will be sequenced to follow along with mining. The majority of reclamation will <br />commence inunodiately upon final extraction of the mineral materials or prior to permit expiration. <br />Reclamation will begin by reshaping and recontouting the staging area and pit area to conform with the <br />adjacent topography and natural landfonms. This work will be completed by the Landowner The work <br />will be done with a dozer and a scraper. Recontouted slopes will not exceed 3:1. <br />After re contouring. tbp substratum will be scarified with a ripper. The landowner will take any steps neoessary to control soil erosion and repair damaged <br />lands.
