1 7_
Class IIIInventory, Colowyo's Collom Mine Project 219
10 cm. The basal rocks are not well sodded in place. The location of the cairn along the
east/west - trending fenceline between Sections 21 and 28 and in proximity to a fence corner and gate
supports the interpretation that the site is a historic location marker. No artifacts were recorded in
association with the feature.
According to the MTP and Historical Indices for T4N, R94W, and the BLM website, Roscoe Hurst
filed for and received a Stock Raising Homestead Entry Patent (SRHE No. 1103 210) for 484.41 acres
on June 16, 193 9, under the 1916 Stock Raising Homestead Act. The entry was filed at the General
Land Office in Denver (No. 042370) and has not been cancelled or relinquished (BLM n.d.).
NRHP Eli ig'bility Recommendation and Project Effect Site 5MF6112 is recommended as not
eligible for listing on the NRHP when evaluated under Criteria A, B, and D. The site is a ubiquitous
type of surface manifestation common throughout the region. The cairn cannot be associated with
persons or events important in local or regional history. The sediment context suggests that the site
has no potential to contain intact significant subsurface cultural deposits. Recordation has exhausted
the research potential of the site.
The site is located outside the revised project boundary and will not be impacted by the current
project. Cultural resource clearance is recommended with no stipulations.
6.1.55 Site 5MF6113 (BR-3

Site Tyne Historic- homestead
Legal Location Section 29, T4N, R94W
Landowner Private
Site Dimensions 215 x 70 m
Site Description Site 5MF6113 is a historic homestead located at 6,925 ft (2,111 m) on an alluvial
fan in a south - trending drainage valley immediately north of and above Hurst Gulch (Figure 6.132).
47599 TRC Mariah Associates Inc.
