Collom Area Geology Pre - Feasibility Report <br />• <br />Table 7.1 <br />Geologic Model Extent Coordinates <br />Eastern Limit: 1,370,100 <br />Western Limit: 1,302,500 <br />Northern Limit: 373,900 <br />Southern Limit: 319,700 <br />The geologic reserve model was created using the StratModelTm application in <br />MineScapeTM, developed by Mincom, Inca Details pertaining to StratModel are <br />located in the StratModel "How to Use StratModel' manual in Appendix J. <br />The geological reserve model uses pre- mining topographic surface as part of the <br />actual model. This grid surface exists at a 25 -feet grid cell size over the full <br />extent of the model area. <br />• The geologic reserve model contains 77 coal seams, a surface of oxidation, a top <br />of Trout Creek surface, the Trout Creek Sandstone Member and one trend <br />surface. The StratModel schema controlling the geologic model is called <br />"schema_colowyo ". The model was built using the "height" surface interpolator. <br />The final geologic reserve model contains approximately 1,575 drill holes. The <br />final StratModel grid was created using a 100 -feet grid cell size. <br />Additionally, floor elevations from in -pit survey data were incorporated into the <br />geological model to provide better local control within the West Pit mine area. In- <br />pit survey data exists for the Al, A2, A3, B2, C5, D2, E2, and F1 seams. <br />The geologic modeling process consisted of building a geologic model and then <br />constructing approximately 40 cross sections through reserve areas and <br />producing thickness and structural contour maps for each modeled seam, The <br />cross sections and contours were reviewed for correlation errors and anomalies. <br />• Changes to the drill hole database and /or to modeling parameters were made as <br />August 2005 Page 28 of 38 <br />
