conveyor/ river crossing. Pond 4 and Pond 7 both held water, with pond 7 water levels lower <br />than the sixth hole from the top of the primary riser. The outlet gate on pond 7 was found <br />closed. Levels in pond 4 are very low and pond 4 has the capacity to hold the 100-year <br />storm event. All five containments at the site were found dry due to the general dearth of <br />rain or snow this fall. Al Weaver of NECC was observed conducting 4th quarter water <br />sampling at alluvial well PAW-8 on the morning of December 21St. Work at mine water <br />discharge pond 001 has begun to install a pond liner as required by the approved CDPS <br />permit. Clay material is being imported prior to installation of the manufactured liner. <br />Support Facilities <br />Work at the preparation plant is for the most part complete. Temporary storage of <br />development waste was noted in approved areas. The operator maintains the facility area in <br />an orderly and neat fashion. Trash and debris is disposed of in portable containers and <br />hauled offsite at this time. <br />Offsite Support Facilities <br />Permit Revision No. 3 is currently under review by the Division. This revision requests <br />approval of a coal loadout on the west side of Trinidad. The gate at the loadout was found <br />locked. No activity was observed at the proposed loadout. <br />4
