This office has reviewed the items outlined in the plan, to ensure that they include commitment for sufficient
monitoring and adequate treatment strategies for the control and eventual elimination of the target weed species. The
plan as outlined appears complete and the technical revision (TR-15) is approved as of the date of this letter.
The existing bond included weed control costs, and though this revision consists of (potentially) more effective weed
control activities, my bond review revealed that there was no increase in the required bond amount for this revision.
Thank you again for the timely response in providing the weed control plan for this mine. I look forward to receiving
reports of successful weed control and to observing fewer weeds at the mine each year. Along that vein, please
accept a copy of the Colorado Weed Management Association's 2011 "Weed Calendar" I am enclosing with this
letter.
I hope you have a happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
plil? ??4
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc(w/encl): Brian Egolf, Emerald Mining and Leasing, LLC, PO Box 628, Creede, CO 81130
(c:\10-12 docs\bulldog tr15 appr/rco)
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction Durango Active and Inactive Mines
