Outline of Modeling Procedures for Collom Exploration and Evaluation Project • Geological Modeling Colowyo uses MineScape to perform the geological modeling for the 2004 Collom Exploration and Evaluation project. The StratModel application in MineScape allows detailed modeling of numerous coal seams over large areas. The MineScape contains a detailed how to use StratModel manual included as part of the MineScape help. Outline of Stratig_raphic Modeling Procedures • Determine extent of model area • Collect basemap information o Import into MineScape as needed • Prepare Topographic Model • Import updated Topographic DTM data from DWG to MineScape DGN • Triangulate updated area • Create new updated grid surface merging existing and updated topographic surfaces. • Use grid specification: full—model-25 • Create /Edit StratModel Schema as needed • Redefine interpolators • • Redefine units being modeled o Redefine faults o Redefine limit polygons • Import Drill Hole Data • Export from DHDB ■ Use Export Queries in DHDB: • Export_ MS_hdr_2005 - 2005 Header Data • Export_MS_lith_2005 - 2005 Lithology • Import into the dholes.dgn design file. ■ Make a backup copy of the file prior to batch updates • Correct any load errors or warnings in DHDB and reload data • Update Pit Survey Data • Get latest "pit.dwg" from CCC surveyors • Add new points from the floor survey for each seam • Create StratModel table and StratModel Grid o Use the "Full_model_100" • Prepare suites of contour maps o Isopachs and Structures • Update Drill Hole Posting layers o Use the "posting" batch file • Prepare Suites of Cross Sections o Cross Sections and Longitudinal Sections • Review maps, sections and modeling log files o Correct or revise schema, drill holes, faults and /or polygons as needed . to improve the geological model • Rerun the StratModel Table and StratModel grid • Recreate maps and cross sections • Check results and update parameters
