Class III Inventory, Colowyo's Collom Mine Project 363 <br />• <br />�1 <br />LJ <br />Figure 6.222 Overview of Site 5MF4003, Looking Northwest (Taken by Garry Luoma, 8/24/05). <br />The historic component consisted of three buildings, an underground storage structure, a corral, and <br />a surface trash scatter. Building 1 was a log outhouse that measured 5 ft 9 inches x 5 ft 9 inches. <br />Building 2 was a log structure with stacked log walls with square- notched corners. It had an uncut <br />stone pier foundation and a pole shed roof with mud filling that was 19 x 12 ft. Building 3 was a log <br />structure with stacked log walls with square - notched corners, an uncut stone foundation, and a wood <br />plank gabled open rafter roof that was 17 x I 1 ft. Building 4 was a stone dugout or root cellar with <br />uncut stone walls, a wood beam and earth roof, and an earthen foundation that measured 25 x 14 ft. <br />The artifact scatter around the historic component consisted mostly of building materials (logs, <br />lumber, brick, cement, stone/rock, corrugated metal, and asphalt/tar paper), along with miscellaneous <br />trash (utensils, stove parts, nuts, bolts, buckets, wagon/carparts, buttons, fabric, leather, and barrels). <br />The majority of the artifacts were located in the northern part of the historic component. Overall, <br />the historic portion of the site was in fair condition. <br />47599 TRC Mariah Associates Inc. <br />
