The <br />two parcels, totaling 34.3 acres, are zoned M (Industrial District) and 1-3 (Heavy Industrial) and are <br />located north of Academy Boulevard, southeast of Las Vegas Street, on the northeast side of <br />Highway 85/87. The applicant, via this site development plan, proposes to implement the expansion <br />of the existing asphalt plant and construction-related mining so as to include the entirety of the two <br />parcels within the operation. The request for use approval to expand the existing operation is being <br />reviewed concurrently as part of a special use request (AL-10-013). Legalization of the two parcels is <br />being proposed via a proposed subdivision exemption plat (EX-10-003), which is also under <br />concurrent review.
