4.0 CONCLUSIONS
Chart 1 exhibits the results from a direct comparison made between the Phase II Bond Release and
reference areas. Perennial cover for the Phase II Bond Release Area, Mountain Shrub and Sagebrush
Reference Areas were 63.0 %, 55.1 %, and 34.7 %, respectively. The weighted perennial cover value
from the two reference areas is 45.9% (Mountain Shrub and Sagebrush Reference Areas weighted 55%
and 45 %, respectively). Finally, the success criterion is 90% of the weighted reference area value or
41.3 %. Therefore the Phase II Bond Release Area (63.0%) is 153% of the success criterion
(41.3%) resulting in the conclusion that the sampled Phase II area readily passes the
ground cover reauirement for Phase II Bond Release.
