4.0 CONCLUSIONS <br />Table 3 exhibits the results from the direct and statistical "t" test comparisons that were made <br />between the Phase II Bond Release and reference areas. Perennial cover from the Phase II Bond <br />Release area failed a direct comparison with the combined (and weighted) reference area value by a very <br />small margin. Because of this small margin of failure, a statistical °t" test of the means was utilized to <br />determine if the two means could be considered statistically equal as is allowable by regulation. This <br />second comparison passed by a significant margin. Furthermore, a direct comparison utilizing allowable <br />annual and biennial components of the cover variable also passed when compared with reference area <br />values. <br />In summary, statistical tests show a calculated t value of 0.624 for the perennial cover comparison <br />and -0.774 for the comparison allowing inclusion of "allowable annual and biennial cover ", both of which <br />are substantially less than the tabular t value of 1.311. Therefore, it can be concluded that the <br />Phase II Bond Release area Passes both the Perennial cover assessment as well as the <br />assessment of cover with inclusion of "allowable annual and biennial cover ". <br />CEDAR CREEK ASSOCIATES, Inc.
