One CAT <br />345 excavator and one CAT 330 excavator equipped with a "rock breaker" were used for the <br />trenching activities. Placed protective wrap on the 10 and 12-inch steel pipe welds. <br />I) Toe Berm Primary Underdrain <br />Placed approximately 300-feet of primary underdrain 6-inch diameter CPe pipe. Pipe was encased <br />in Geofabric and drain rock per Drawing A260 <br />III) Underground Workings <br />A) Drilling <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />Underground working 3008, Thompson Shaft: Completed structural fill and site grading for <br />Geogrid placement per AMEC Memo, dated 10 November 2009. and per Drawing A290. Select <br />structural fill was placed over each layer of Geogrid. Compaction was achieved using a 10-ton <br />vibratory smooth drum compactor passing over the entire surface a minimum of 5 passes. Nuclear <br />density testing was performed with results averaging 95% of maximum dry density. Moisture <br />density relations were obtained in accordance with ASTM D698-07. AMEC provided full-time <br />observation during the remediation <br />C) Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during the week. <br />IV) Storm Water Management Structures <br />A) Control Structures <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Best Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the VLF Phase 5 Project.
