Various CAT dozers were used to rip the subgrade
surface to a depth of 6" to 8". The subgrade was then moisture conditioned using a CAT 773
water tuck (when necessary) and compacted using a 10-ton vibratory smooth drum compactor.
The entire surface of the subgrade was compacted with at least 4-passes. This area was
inspected by an AMEC representative and accepted for structural fill placement.
VLF Weekly Report WE 10.24.09.D.doc
