3.0 RESULTS
3.1 Phase III Summary (Year 1)
Tabular results of collected (and transformed) data for the aforementioned sampling efforts are
presented at the rear of this document (Appendix A) on Tables 1 through 15. Tables 1, 2, and 3 present
summarized data whereas Tables 4 — 8 present raw cover data, Tables 9 - 13 present raw production
data, and Tables 14 and 15 present raw woody plant density data. Charts 1, 2, and 3 (also shown
below) present summaries of collected data as well as comparison of Hamilton Mine parameters with
reference area derived criteria and standards. Chart 1 (ground cover) indicates a substantial exceedance
for Mine Area No. 1 (51% greater than the reference area derived criterion) and a reasonable
exceedance for Mine Area No. 3 (20% greater than the reference area derived criterion). Chart 2
(production) also indicates a substantial exceedance for both Mine Areas with regard to perennial
production. Mine Area No. 1 exceeds the reference area derived success criterion by 295% whereas
Mine Area No. 3 exceeds the criterion by 165 %. Chart 3 (diversity) indicates that both Mine Areas No. 1
and No. 3 each exceed the diversity standards set in permitting documents by 2 taxa with between 3%
and 40% relative cover.
CEDAR CREEK ASSOCIATES, Inc.
