Please either add to the permit application or direct us to baseline seep and spring information for
the parts of the Projected Potential Mining Area that have not previously been approved.
2. Please leave the descriptions of panel dimensions and orientations unchanged on existing
previously approved permit pages 2.05-119 and 2.05-120 (with the exception of updating
numerical values on these pages, where needed). These detailed descriptions of the underground
workings are needed to ensure compliance with Rule 4.20.1(3).
3. In the Notes on Map 51, please replace the words "permit boundary" with "Projected Potential
Mining Area". Capital letters are suggested to emphasize the Projected Potential Mining Area is a
formally defined area.
4. Please change "the coal lease and permit boundaries" on pages 1 and 2 of Exhibit 55B and on
page 1 of Exhibit 60E to "Projected Potential Mining Area".
5. Please change "actual mineable coal limit or the lease and permit boundaries is reached
(whichever is first)" on page 1 of Exhibit 60E to "anywhere within the Projected Potential Mining
Area".
6. Please clearly state on page 1 of Exhibit 55B and page 1 Exhibit 60E that the subsidence
evaluation included the entire Projected Potential Mining Area as shown on Map 51 in the permit
application, if such a statement is accurate.
7. Are the "expected" subsidence impacts to the Minnesota Creek Ditch Rider's cabin that are
described on page 46 of Exhibit 60E the same as the "worst possible consequences" for the cabin
that may be caused by subsidence?
