amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />AMEC observed re-compaction of Soil Liner Fill at the Sediment Pond. Nuclear density testing and depth <br />checks were performed, with passing results. <br />Testing Summary <br />Laboratory testing continues (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, and Moisture-Density <br />Compaction testing) for sampled materials. <br />GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS <br />Summary of Concerns: <br />No Concerns <br />Summary of Planning Items: <br />Structural fill placement for the Phase 5 VLF will continue. <br />Continue processing Soil Liner Fill at the South Cresson Clay Processing area. <br />Continue slope contouring above the East Perimeter Road. <br />Continue subgrade preparation within the VLF footprint. <br />Continue the excavation work at the planned water storage tank location. <br />Continue clearing and grubbing at the east slope of the Phase 5 VLF. <br />Summary of Non-conformances: <br />None Issued <br />Summary of Meetings and Discussions: <br />CC& V. <br />CC&V held a Weekly Construction meeting on June 9, 2009. Items discussed included Safety, <br />Environmental, Schedule, QC documentation, and CQA. <br />Ames Construction: <br />Daily Safety/Tailgate Meetings: AMEC personnel attended the Ames daily safety meeting held at <br />6:40AM and 6:40PM prior to the start of shift.
