EXHIBIT B <br />JAMACO PIT <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />This site is located 4.0 miles west and 2 miles north of Arriba, Colorado and is located on <br />Hackberry Creek at an approximate elevation of 5,300 feet. The site drains to the creek, <br />which flows to the northeast; Hackberry Creek is a tributary of the Arickaree River. Most <br />of the slopes are flatter than a 4:1 but some of the banks of Hackberry Creek are steeper. <br />The land surrounding the immediate pit area is composed of gently rolling hills. There <br />will be no mining activities in Hackberry Creek and no erosion products will be allowed <br />to enter this drainage feature. <br />Vegetation in this area is consists of blue gramma, thickspike wheatgrass, side oats <br />grama, western wheatgrass, and sand dropseed. Some of the pit will also be located in a <br />portion of the property that is devoted to the cultivation of winter wheat. <br />Topsoil is approximately 3 to 6 inches thick and the over burden is 1 to 2 feet thick. In <br />some areas sand and gravel is mixed with the topsoil. <br />There are no man made structures located within 200 feet of the proposed operation. <br />There is no major wildlife in the area; nor any endangered species that would be <br />impacted. <br />2
