December 14, 2010 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RDZ <br /> to be hauled to the Craig Station power plant. The Le Tourneau was loading Komatsu trucks with overburden to <br /> be hauled to the fill <br /> At the F Pit,the Baby Doe dragline was observed walking on December 14th. A dozer was pushing sandy soil <br /> into the pit. No coal was being excavated and the Queen Anne dragline was not in operation at the time of the <br /> inspection. On December 16th,the dragline was casting spoil. <br /> At the ash pit,piles of fly ash and bottom ash were observed, and a 50-ton truck was hauling a load of ash up the <br /> road. <br /> At the East Panel Ready Line, a fuel truck was filling the fuel tanks. <br /> The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03: <br /> All roads and roadside ditches were functioning as permitted at the time of the inspection. A layer of <br /> scoria was visible on the K1 Road on December 15th,and a scraper was grading the Life of Mine Road during the <br /> inspection on December 16th. <br /> Some culverts are beginning to accumulate sediment and should be cleaned in the near future: <br /> • Culvert in the Grouse drainage under the North A Road <br /> • Culvert under the road downstream of No Name#2 pond <br /> • Small culvert in the D Pit Haul Road ditch just east of shop (middle of three culverts in this area). <br /> These culverts also require continual monitoring. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> Due to snow conditions,the ground was not visible at some locations during the inspection. On the areas <br /> that were visible,no problems such as gullies on reclaimed areas were observed. Some rills were observed on the <br /> slope north of the Horse Gulch fill toe,and this should be monitored. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15: <br /> Revegetation appeared successful at several locations on site. Little erosion was observed. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> The facility area was inspected. Good housekeeping practices appear to be in compliance and most <br /> drainage reports to the Industrial Waste Pond,Impoundment H, or the No Name Gulch ponds for treatment of <br /> stormwater pollutants. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br />
