S l?-lv The?W <br />State PROOF OF PUBLICATION ' <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br />The Colorado Division of Rec <br />lamation, Mining and Safety has <br />Issued a proposed decision to <br />Approve Bond Release Applica <br />tion No. 6 (SL-6) for the Road <br />side Portals, Permit No. <br />C•1981.041. The mine is oper <br />ated by Snowcap Coal Com <br />pany, Inc. under the provisions <br />of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. <br />The bond release application <br />was submitted by Snowcap Coal <br />Company,Unc. on May 19, 2010. <br />Snowcap Coal Company is re <br />questing release of Phase II and <br />III bond liability on 14.8 re <br />claimed acres of its total 3,016 <br />acres within the permit bound <br />arYat_tha Roadside North and <br />So" Portals Mine. The pur <br />pose of this Bond Release Re <br />quest is to re lease 'thbse'lands <br />within the permit boundary to <br />Gated at the South Portal and <br />having a designation of Indus <br />trial as the post-mining land use. <br />The 14.8 acres have been fully <br />reclaimed and an Industrial land <br />use has been Implemented. A <br />surety bond in the amount of <br />$1,640,413.00 Is in place of <br />which $67,420.00 is being re <br />quested for release. The of <br />fected area is located in Mesa <br />County, approximately 5 miles <br />North of Palisade, Colorado. <br />Copies of the proposed deci <br />sion are available for review at <br />the Colorado Division of Recla <br />mation, Mining and Safety office, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver Colorado 80203, and at <br />the office of the Mesa County' <br />Clerk and Recorder. <br />Any person who has an Interest <br />which is or may be adversely of <br />fected may request an adjudica <br />tory hearing regarding this pro <br />posed decision.
